In a spirited show of grassroots mobilization, the CPDM USA Campaign Task Force, in collaboration with the CPDM Central Committee Delegation to the Americas, embarked on a door-to-door campaign across the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area (DMV) on Friday, October 3, 2025.

The delegation was led by Her Excellency Madam Yah Judith Achidi Achu, President of the CPDM Central Committee Delegation to the Americas, accompanied by her Chargé de Mission, Dr. Kinge Monono, and the full CPDM USA Campaign Task Force for the Re-Election of President Paul Biya.

A Message Rooted in Peace, National Unity, and Prosperity

Throughout five strategic campaign stops across the DMV, the delegation carried a consistent message — one of peace, unity, and sustainable prosperity under the leadership of President Paul Biya.

Addressing Cameroonians in the diaspora, Her Excellency Madam Yah Judith Achidi Achu emphasized the value of education as the bedrock of national development and competitiveness in the 21st century. She passionately condemned the so-called “no school” campaign in the Northwest and Southwest Regions — an initiative she described as “the worst form of marginalization against Anglophone children.”

“Those who call for school boycotts, many of whom themselves are highly educated and living abroad, have set back our communities by centuries,” she said. “The Ambazonia crisis has dragged the Northwest and Southwest Regions four hundred years backward. How can a people destroy their own schools and infrastructure in the name of change? Change is good — but change from what to what?”

Highlighting the Achievements of President Paul Biya

Madam Achidi Achu also used the campaign to remind militants and sympathizers of the remarkable socio-economic achievements of His Excellency President Paul Biya, whose leadership has delivered infrastructural development, peace initiatives, and modernization projects across Cameroon’s ten regions.

Invoking the famous words of her late husband, Rt. Hon. Simon Achidi Achu, she echoed:

“Politics na njangi — you scratch my back, I scratch your back.”

She explained that re-electing President Paul Biya was the ultimate expression of gratitude and loyalty to a leader who has consistently prioritized national development and inclusivity. “By voting for President Biya again,” she said, “Cameroonians will be scratching his back once more — and he will continue to scratch ours, with more appointments, investments, and opportunities, especially for the Northwest and Southwest Regions.”

A Traditional Culmination in Bethesda

The campaign trail culminated at the residence of Fon Nganjo, where the delegation was warmly received with traditional blessings and cultural honors. The event concluded with a convivial atmosphere as militants and supporters shared refreshments, songs, and reaffirmed their readiness for a resounding CPDM victory in the upcoming presidential election.

As the sun set over the Maryland skyline, one message remained clear: the Biya campaign in the diaspora is not merely political — it is a movement of faith, loyalty, and nation-building.
